Flicks: Aishwarya Shines In Violet At Cannes Opening Ceremony

Every year, Aishwarya Rai dazzles on the red carpet for Cannes International Film Festival. This year Ash wore a violet blue embroidered tulle and mousseline gown from Elie Saab for the opening ceremony which took place yesterday. Ash looked radiant and confident in her dress alongside friend Eva Longoria.

Ash wasn't with husband Abhishek this year as he was away shooting a new flick in Istanbul. Abhishek commented on wife Ash’s Cannes look straight away on twitter. He tweeted, "Thanks to all those who sent me photos of the wife at Cannes. Couldn't be with her today as i'm filming in Istanbul. but will join her there on the 17th to promote Raavan."
